Location: Great Falls, Montana Wage: $21.37 per hourShift: Day and Night shifts availableDay: 6 am - 4:30 pm M-ThNight: 4:30 pm - 3 am M-ThA nightshift differential of $1.50 applies to any time worked past 4:30 pmOverview: ADF International, a North American leader in the design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of complex steel structures and modular construction, is seeking a Welder Helper for our steel fabrication plant in Great Falls, Montana. We are looking for Welder Helpers to assist Fitters and Welders in the fabrication of heavy structural steel assemblies.What We Offer:Competitive Wage of $21.37 per hourPension Plan100% Employer Paid Insurance Premium Options for medical and dentalEmployer Paid Protective EquipmentEight (8) paid holidaysVacation & Sick LeaveAttendance IncentiveGeneral Expectations and Responsibilities:Follow ADF safety procedures and practices.Keep work areas clean and ready for work.Assist Welders and Fitters as needed.Assist with basic part, hole, and bevel layouts.Sort parts for Fitters to maintain workflow as needed.Understand basic welding principles.Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.Understand basic use and set up of oxyfuel cutting.Understand basic use and set up of plasma cutters.Understand heat distortion and prevention.Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of shift.Help protect tools and equipment from damage.Strong communication skills.May be asked to perform duties that are not listed.Any other related duties and special projects as needed.Education, Training, or Work Experience:High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.Completion of welding program OR a minimum of 1,000 hours of relevant experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.Industry certifications from AWS or CWB preferred.Knowledge of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), and/or Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours at a time.Ability to bend, squat, kneel for varying lengths of time.Ability to fully articulate shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.Must be able to grasp and safely operate hand and power tools.Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, pull, or carry up to 75lbs.Must be able to work in various conditions (loud, hot, dusty, cold, etc.).Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend on ladders.Why Join Us:Work with a supportive and dynamic teamContribute to exciting and diverse projectsEnjoy a positive work culture
