Carpenter Job Description We are a commercial general contractor seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. This role involves hands-on carpentry work on a variety of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in both rough and finish carpentry, be comfortable working with hand and power tools, and be committed to maintaining a safe and clean jobsite. You'll be an integral part of our field crew, contributing directly to the construction and installation of structures and fixtures. Responsibilities Perform carpentry tasks including constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Install rough and finish carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, and concrete forms. Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine material requirements and layout. Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand tools, machines, or power saws. Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, dowels, and adhesives. Build or repair cabinets, doors, floors, and other wooden fixtures. Install windows, frames, flooring, trim, and other finish elements. Conduct site cleanup and follow safety protocols. Erect scaffolding and ladders as needed for elevated work. Apply finishes such as paint, paneling, or decorative treatments. Assist with concrete forming and finishing as needed. Essential Skills Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction practices. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret construction documents. Experience in both rough and finish carpentry. Commitment to safety and cleanliness on the jobsite. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in commercial construction and framing. Concrete finishing experience is a plus. Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented. Why Work Here?
