Structural Glass Products, Inc. is a specialty glazing contractor out of Buffalo, MN who is looking for a Lead Installer/Glazier. The Lead Installer/Glazier will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation of aluminum and glass products in various commercial projects in Minnesota and the Midwest. This position requires a high level of expertise in handling aluminum and glass materials, as well as the ability to lead a team of installers to achieve project goals efficiently and safely. The Lead Installer/Glazier will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the appropriate installation methods and materials. Additionally, this role involves maintaining quality control throughout the installation process to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards. Ultimately, the Lead Installer/Glazier will contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality installations that enhance the aesthetic and functional value of commercial sites. A company vehicle will be provided for travel to job sites. Daily Per Diem is provided for out-of-state projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Age 18 years or older.
* Proven experience as a glazier or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of glass & aluminum installation techniques and safety protocols.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with various types of glass & aluminum products and their applications.
* Experience in leadership roles.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of installers during glass & aluminum installation projects.
* Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
* Ensure all installations are completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Conduct site assessments to prepare for installation and address any potential challenges.
* Provide training and mentorship to junior installers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of glass & aluminum installation techniques, which are applied daily to ensure precise and safe installations. Leadership skills are essential as the Lead Installer/Glazier will be responsible for guiding and motivating a team, fostering a collaborative work environment. Attention to detail is crucial in interpreting blueprints and ensuring that installations meet quality standards. Problem-solving skills will be utilized to address any challenges that arise on-site, ensuring that projects stay on track.
