Great opportunity -1st shift for a Carpenter with framing and house construction experience. Thisis not working in the field but in an air conditioned manufacturing environment.
Must be able to run and lead a crew while working within a manufacturing environment.
- Verify dimensions required for shipping crates using shipping reports.
- Operate and adjust various woodworking machines, including skill saws and radial arm saws, to cut and shape wood sections according to specifications.
- Assemble wood parts using air-powered nail guns to create sturdy crates for shipping.
- Pack crates with precision, including metal parts for steel doors and insulation to prevent movement during transportation.
- Fasten address and shipping labels securely to each crate.
- Utilize air-powered hand tools such as drills and screw guns for efficient assembly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One to two years of previous work-related experience in woodworking.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating radial arm saws.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
