Cell Operator Job Description This position involves working in a cell area, operating various machinery to create parts. The role includes pressing parts together, checking parts, and using automated machining processes, requiring frequent quality checks. Operators will use digital micrometers, calipers, and gauges, and follow basic blueprints and work instructions for part assembly and creation. Responsibilities Operate machinery within the cell area to create parts. Perform frequent quality checks on parts and communicate with setup operators. Effectively communicate any issues with management and leaders. Ensure defective parts are sent back for correction or rejection. Stay on feet all day, moving between multiple machines. Collaborate with setup operators as needed. Essential Skills Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges (digital). 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial work. Ability to work independently and maintain pace in a cell environment. Experience working with small parts daily. Ability to follow blueprints and work instructions. The position is available on the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with training available on the 1st shift. Attendance is strictly monitored, and the dress code includes jeans, shirts, steel-toed shoes, and eye and ear protection. Candidates are allowed to use one earbud while working, provided they can still hear communication and machinery. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, Indiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
