Summary of Work

Provide facility wide electrical services, install electrical lines, circuits, and troubleshoot for electrical problems and to ensure that electrical contractors meet the National and State electrical code and ensure electrical preventive maintenance is maintained throughout the facility. Maintain inventory of electrical supplies and monitor outside contract compliance.

Duties and Tasks

Providing job instruction, ensuring that all electrical job duties are properly performed.

Provide security for contractor tools and personnel while performing contracts.

Analyze requests for electrical work to be done, recommend proper systems to be used, and use correct materials.

Prepare estimate for time, labor, and material to be used on the job. Maintain necessary actual time and material records.

Prepare permits and certificates, for city and state inspectors, and contact for inspection.

Troubleshooting and repair of and all kinds of electrical apparatuses.

Inventory, purchasing, stocking, and controlling of all electrical materials.

Assist other trades with the maintenance operations of the facility as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires registered license as a master electrician with the State Electrical Board of North Dakota. (NDCC 43-09-11). Requires walking, standing and bending: moving and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must demonstrate experience/skills and abilities to meet qualifications to perform duties of the job. Must successfully complete interview and standard background and criminal record check.

May underfill as an Electrician II which requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires registered license as a journeyman electrician with the State Electrical Board of North Dakota. (NDCC 43-09-11). Requires walking, standing and bending: moving and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must demonstrate experience/skills and abilities to meet qualifications to perform duties of the job. Must successfully complete interview and standard background and criminal record check.
