As a BridgeEngineer, you will have the opportunity to work on vehicular bridges(simple and complex), pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, and othertransportation-related structures. At Benesch we work on projects in theplanning, design, construction, and in-service phases so you will getexposed to the full life-cycle of structures. The ideal candidate will have ahistory of successfully completing bridge projects and the ability to mentorjuLocationThis position offers flexibility within the front range of Colorado. Beneschis expanding our Colorado division, and we welcome candidates from diverseareas including but not limited to Greeley, Fort Collins, Johnstown, inaddition to the Denver Metro area.The Impact You Will HaveServe as lead engineer on a variety of bridge replacement and rehabilitationprojectsMentor junior staff and assist with the growth and development of thestructural staffPrepare and review structural and geometrical calculations for bridge designprojectsAssume responsibility for assigned design calculation files and plans assuringadequate independent QC reviews on that workManage the process of compiling and coordinating plans, specifications,cost estimates and pay items per DOT standardsCoordinate the above tasks with the Project ManagerLead structural designers on bridge design and rehabilitation projectsWhat You Will NeedBS in Civil Engineeringand/or Structural Engineering or relateddiscipline, MS is a plusPE License in Colorado or ability to obtain through reciprocity5 to 10+years of bridge design experienceExperience working with CDOT and/or municipalitiesStrong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering todesign budgets and schedulesProven experience performing complex analysis and designAbility to assemble a complete design package and construction documents forassigned elements or projectsProven experience with various structural design and analysis software; LeapBridge, LUSUS, Midas, and OpenBridge a plusExcellent communication and client relation skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment#LI-OS1The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordancewith the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed-uponcompensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited toindividual education, qualifications, prior work experience, andgeographic location.
