Project Engineer

PROJECT ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate efforts of contractors involved with finishing construction of new or redesigned areas for plant facility while managing projects, being on time, on budget, and to specification
• Participate and lead in design and layout aspects of special projects
• Obtain competitive bids for future projects
• Assign necessary personnel to designated areas for completion of projects
• Arrange to have appropriate records prepared and maintained
• Attend meetings as needed or called
• Frequent communication with maintenance, purchasing, production, storeroom, and other departments involved with any aspect of projects
• Lead the efforts to complete Capital Planning
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must pass the mechanical knowledge exam
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in project planning through completion and implementation
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Computer skills, including knowledge of spreadsheets, and drafting programs (Auto CAD)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and coordinate large projects
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
