Summary:
We are looking for skilled Automation Technicians to support the development, installation, and maintenance of advanced technology in our facility. The role includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting machinery, and collaborating with plant management on programming adjustments to meet product specifications.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on automation systems and machinery
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
Collaborate with plant management to adjust programming for product specifications
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to maintenance and repairs
Ensure compliance with all safety and lockout/tagout procedures
Requirements
Education & Experience
Associate degree in electronic technology or related technical field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience (including skilled trades programs, military training, or other relevant training)
Experience working with ARPs, robots, or auto split saws
Computer Skills
Proficient in Windows-based software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Strong organizational skills, including document management, use of templates, and creating simple queries
Must be proficient or able to become proficient in SAP Plant Maintenance
Communication & Problem-Solving Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Certifications (Preferred)
Certifications in any relevant technical fields or techniques are a plus
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Strong safety and attendance record with good interpersonal skills
Demonstrated knowledge of AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems
Familiarity with electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures
Understanding of electronic devices such as industrial semiconductors, solid-state drives, and industrial control systems
Experience with PLC systems, control/data collection instrumentation, and transducers
Working knowledge of tools and components for maintaining mechanical systems (bearings, gears, clutches, belts, seals)
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in:
Basic microcomputer skills (microprocessor operations and interfacing)
PLC system operation, including system configuration, hardware, relay instructions, timers/counters, data manipulation, and advanced programming
electronic motor drive technologies, including servo motors, encoders, tachometers, electronic/mechanical brakes, and closed-loop systems.
