LABORER \Construction Helper - Through 2025 School Year

Looking for 1 (ONE) additional person to help with a remodel on a PRIVATE RESIDENCE

I am a general contractor working on my PRIVATE home. I also am an exec at a Large Company in Seattle, so I'm looking for help primarily on Saturdays; however, there may be some opportunity to work other days if our schedules work out.

MANDATORY SKILLS

- Interested in construction/remodeling and learning trades (plumbing, framing, sheetrock, electrical, roofing, landscaping, finish work, etc.)
- Critical Thinker - need someone who can look at and understand the work as well as think about the projects given to you, and figure out the best way to get the job done, or ask questions, provide input as needed
- Hard and focused worker who is willing to learn and picks things up quickly
- Physically fit (need to be able to lift multiple landscape blocks 65+lbs, lift heavy objects, dig, haul junk, etc.)
- Respectful of my stuff like tools, etc, and other people's stuff (other crew members, neighbors, etc.)
- OK doing site clean up, dump/hardware store runs, raking, trash hauling, getting dirty
- Not afraid of heights and working on scaffolding, ladders and on the roof (with safety gear)
- OK working with DEI/LGBTQA+ crew and a progressive working environment
- Clean background check (criminal)
- References

NICE TO HAVES

- Some construction experience or knowledge is helpful, or willing and capable of learning
- Stable work history, in this line of work a plus
- GED or working to get one, HS diploma, some college, or college graduate - High school OK if you meet the requirements and parents' permission
- Specific experience or knowledge of any of these areas (landscaping, excavation, roofing, painting, foundation, and concrete work)
- I have most tools or can rent, if you have your own, that's OK. Also, if you have access to a pick-up truck, that may help me from renting one.

Will be interviewing via FaceTime, Zoom, Teams, Meet, or Google Chat. Pay will be at the end of the day and sent to your cash app account, like PayPal, Venmo, etc. Payment will NOT be in cash.
