Heavy civil Estimator

We are currently looking for an Estimator to join a well-established heavy civil contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience in:

• Utilities and asphalt paving for site improvements, commercial, multifamily, and subdivision projects
• Wastewater and water treatment centers
• Cityscape improvement projects
• Heavy highway and civil construction, including DOT projects
• Grade and drain work

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire bid process from invitation to final proposal submission
• Analyze construction documents, perform quantity takeoffs, and identify scope of work
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess site conditions
• Review subcontractor and vendor proposals for accuracy and compliance
• Develop preliminary construction schedules and ensure estimates are complete and well-organized
• Manage multiple bids, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Collaborate with owners, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience in site development or highway construction
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Proven ability to estimate projects
• Strong knowledge of mass excavation, concrete structures, bridges, drainage, and utilities
• Experience with value engineering, constructability analysis, and risk assessment
• Proficient in estimating software
