RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for customer communication, project planning,project budget, and project execution. Manage and provide Technical Leadershipfor new product development projects with high complexity. Manage these projectsto ensure that products/technologies are delivered according to market/customerexpectations in respect of specifications, timing and budget.

Manage the project, the project team, contribute to the project scope andproject objectives as well as assure that all steps are completed.Provide communication interface to customer for communication of projectstatus, schedule, requirements, etc.Manage and provide Technical Leadership to project teams across multiplesites throughout the execution of product development projects.Schedule and manage internal team meetings to address necessary action itemsand keep projects on schedule.Manage internal and external suppliers for on time completion of actionsTimely communication to management for resource requirements to keepprojects on scheduleDefine product specifications and project scope to ensure it is in line withmarket / customer needs and ensure development of the product / processaccordingly.Make sure that projects are in accordance with the financial objectivesincluding creation, review, submission of capital requests, review and submittalof product costing information and managing project scope creepMake decisions in order to speed up the process and ensure the best time tomarket, time to volume and time to profitability.Ensure application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles duringthe product development.Ensure that capacity planning is performed through the project phases sothat supply meets expected demand.Provide project updates to functional management on a regular basisEnsure systems are set up for ordering / manufacturing of productsManage & reduce risks including the development of alternatives using riskreduction tools in order to maintain project objectives and schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires access to controlled technology that is subject to USexport controls. Qualified candidates must be a US Person (including US Citizen,lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3)) or eligible to obtain required authorization(s) from the U.S.GovernmentBachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a four-year university with4+ years related experience and/or training within the connector industry,preferred.Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical product drawingsAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, write reports,business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromvarious levels of managementAbility to effectively manage customer communication and expectationsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concretevariables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability tointerpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, orschedule form;Should have knowledge and skills using:Project Management softwareSpreadsheet software (Excel)Word Processing software (Word)Presentation software (PowerPoint)Ability to communicate and relate with project teams in each region of theworld.Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision and provide updateson project status where issues or problems can be reviewed, discussed andresolved.Root cause analysis.
