Shotblast Operator

2nd Shift, 1:00 pm - 9:15 pm.
Purpose of Role: The Shotblast Operator is responsible for checking the hardness of castings and ensure they meet all manufacturing and inspection instructions (MII) requirements. The operator must directly follow MII and/or work instructions to correctly load parts and is responsible for removing and quarantining parts that require weld repair. The operator is responsible for safely loading and removing castings manually or using proper equipment/aid. Operator will also be required to visually inspect each casting for obvious defects and separate by pattern and part. The operator may be asked to perform other jobs within or outside the department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Focus Area: Must be able to attain LOTO (Lock out tag out) certification
- Focus Area: Must be able to walk, bend, stand and manually move parts 90% or more of the day
- Focus Area: Must collect PVR data
- Focus Area: Must be able to safely use tools, properly inspect and operate machinery (i.e. crane, hopper, hoist)
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Prefer high school diploma/GED.
- Must be able to read, write perform basic math and have good communication skills.
