What You'll Be DoingDesign & Analysis: Lead the planning, design, and implementation of water resource systems for major highway projects, including stormwater management, drainage, and flood control.
Modeling & Simulation: Utilize advanced hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormWise) to predict and mitigate water-related challenges.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal regulations, including NPDES and TMDL requirements
Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions
Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in water resources engineering to continually improve project outcomes.
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering. A Masters degree is a plus.
Professional Experience: 3-5 years in water resources engineering, with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormWise, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
