BramCal Production Inc is a manufacturer of quality commercial and residential roofing packaging products and part of the IKO Group of Companies. We presently have a full-time opportunity for a Dual Qualified Electrical Millwright join our team based in Barrie, Ontario.

The main objective of the role is to maximize plant performance through troubleshooting, repair and upgrade of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, drives, motors and fuse disconnects
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Work with computers, AC/DC drives, HMIs and PLCs
  • Read and interpret Electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • Maintain spare parts inventory
  • Plan and oversee testing and calibration of electrical and electronic equipment and tools on a scheduled basis
  • Work closely with Operations personnel
  • Comply with internal and corporate policies, procedures and regulations with respect to Health & Safety
  • Respond on call

Job Requirements:

  • Preferred dual qualified licensed Industrial Electrician 442A and Industrial Mechanic License 433A
  • Or licensed Industrial Electrician 442A and ability to perform mechanical maintenance tasks
  • Or Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License 433A
  • Must have knowledge of AC/DC Drives, Logic and control programming
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work collaboratively
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to work at heights
