This role will be responsible for the mechanical design anddevelopment of automotive alignment & ADAS products. The role will alsoinclude responsibilities for Quality improvements (Rapid ContinuousImprovements) to existing products and must be capable of leading andorganizing development in a team environment. The role will be based inour Conway, AR facility.**Responsibilities**- Provide mechanical design and development of new products or product enhancements for the automotive equipment industry. Must be able to work and lead in a diverse team environment with engineers from other disciplines.- Prepare thorough and accurate documentation for release to manufacturing and for internal product design records. Maintain an engineering notebook to document work activity in support of company\'s patent goals.- Test and validate alignment products to ensure good product performance and high standard of quality.- Work with manufacturing and service personnel to resolve problems and improve manufacturing and service processes.- Work with manufacturing engineering on Rapid Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce product cost and/or improve performance of designs.- Develop a deep understanding of the company\'s products and their applications.- Other duties, as needed.**Qualifications**- BSME or BSMET degree minimum with master\'s degree preferred. Preference with minimum 7 years\' mechanical design experience.- Up to date knowledge in mechanical design. Including the design of plastic molded parts, metal castings, sheet metal, and assembly techniques.- Capable of performing engineering analysis and other related calculations to support mechanical designs, including FEA and Flow analysis for injection molded parts.- Good understanding of complementary technical disciplines in Electrical, SW, FW, and Algorithm engineering.- Able to manage development of technical details of self and others within the team as required.- Must possess excellent communication skills written and oral.- Must possess good time management and organizational skills.- Must possess good problem-solving skills- Must be able to demonstrate initiative.- Must be proficient in the use of 3D modeling software.
