We are looking for an experienced construction foreman that would be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of a construction project. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you'll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, project management, architects, and engineers. Job Responsibilities include: Overseeing construction project's subcontractors, carpenters, and collaborating with engineers to determine the project's needs Be able to set performance goals and deadlines. Must exhibit qualities of good leadership. Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities Must be able to self-perform rough and finish carpentry as needed per project. Supervise and delegate tasks to carpenters and other construction workers Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. Ensure the jobsite remains safe, clean, and orderly. Interpret and implement blueprints to ensure project success Address any client concerns or complaints in a professional manner Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the project are available and properly maintained Ordering materials and equipment as required for the project with reference to our procurement department. Coordinate with suppliers to also receive materials Providing quality control for all completed works Willing to travel within a 2-hour radius of the Milwaukee / Mukwonago, WI area Pay is based on experience Candidates should have these qualifications: Extreme attention to detail. Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Organized, task-driven, and able to work independently as well as with others. Good physical condition / stamina required as general labour will be needed Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED in a skilled trade will be a plus Minimum 8 years carpentry experience in the industry. Ability to shift tasks at a moment's notice Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes Willing to exceed time management expectations.
