Machine Operator $18/HR Job Opening: Pipe Fabrication Technician - 1st Shift | Bettendorf, IA Shift:1st Shift | $18/hr | Overtime: 5-10 hours/week Location: Bettendorf, Iowa Job Summary We are looking for a mechanically inclined machinist. This role involves assisting with the preparation and modification of various types of piping used in water treatment and related projects. You'll work with a small, close-knit team and gain hands-on experience with specialized equipment and tools. Responsibilities Operate machinery for cutting, threading, and modifying pipes Assist with general fabrication and shop tasks Support field service operations as needed Perform manual labor and use hand tools for assembly and repair Operate a Manual Lathe machine Read and interpret blueprints Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Experience with hand tools and basic machine operation Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Comfortable reading blueprints or schematics Previous experience with lathes, plumbing, or water systems is a plus Willingness to train on overhead crane and forklift operation Why Work With Us Steady 1st shift schedule with regular overtime Small team environment where your work is recognized Opportunities for advancement into service technician roles 401K match and customer-facing opportunities upon hire Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
