MIG Welder - Steel & Aluminum Fabrication Job Description: We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented MIG Welders to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding steel and aluminum components used in consumer and industrial storage units and climbing systems. Key Responsibilities: Operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate steel (16-12 gauge) and aluminum parts. Set up welding machines, make necessary adjustments, and replace wire spools and tips as needed. Perform tack welding at the initial station and full MIG welding with component assembly at subsequent stations. Retrieve designated parts from baskets, skids, or floors and place completed units on conveyors or in designated storage areas. Conduct visual inspections and use measurement tools to ensure product quality and adherence to blueprints. Use grinders to remove burrs and excess welding material as required. Monitor material usage and notify supervisors of shortages or supply needs. Accurately record daily production output, including part/model numbers and quantities. Report any mechanical issues with welding equipment to supervisors or maintenance personnel. Required Skills: MIG welding (steel and aluminum) Blueprint reading and interpretation Basic fabrication techniques Use of grinders and hand tools Preferred Experience: Experience in a production welding environment Familiarity with steel gauges 16-12 Ability to work efficiently in a team-based, fast-paced setting Experience Level: Entry Level - Training provided for candidates with foundational welding skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
