HIRING FOR MECHANICAL ASSEMBLERS IN THE St. Paul, MN AREA! 1ST SHIFT, $20-$23/HOUR Responsibilities Obtain work instructions from the Build Book program on the computer to assemble all required parts. Follow engineering drawings and bills of materials, requesting parts from the Parts Department as required. Lay out truck details per engineering prints on a job-by-job basis. Perform final assembly of all units, including hoods, electric, lights, and stickers to customer specifications. Prepare trucks for sub-frame assembly by disassembling, measuring, repositioning parts, installing parts, and reassembling units. Test assembled parts or products to ensure proper functionality and quality. Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and procedures. Maintain tools and the work space in good condition. Perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned. Essential Skills Minimum 6 months of hands-on mechanical work experience. Experience with heavy mechanical equipment is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to learn blueprints and schematics. Basic math knowledge. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is preferred. Possession of own tools is preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a 1st shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional flexibility required for earlier start times. The role is based in a large, clean manufacturing facility consisting of multiple bays, each equipped with computers for accessing parts ordering and blueprints. Be prepared to work around large booms in a louder work environment. The facility includes separate buildings for welding, painting, and warehousing, connected by an outdoor yard. Approximately 35-40 mechanics work in the area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
