Welder Job Description We are seeking an experienced TIG welder with over 2 years of industry experience. The role involves working on diverse projects, including commercial skyscrapers, automotive, aviation, and more. You will be assigned daily tasks that may involve new projects or completing unfinished jobs from the previous day. Understanding and following welding and assembly prints is essential. Responsibilities Perform TIG welding with precision and skill. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Work with sheet metal, stainless steel, and aluminum. Collaborate on projects ranging from commercial skyscrapers to aviation. Complete assigned tasks daily and adapt to new projects. Essential Skills 2+ years of TIG welding experience. Proficiency in reading and working off blueprints and schematics. Expertise in working with sheet metal, stainless steel, and aluminum. Additional Skills & Qualifications Well-versed in handling both stainless steel and aluminum. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility is well-lit and set up as a true job shop. It may be colder in the winter and warmer in the summer. Many team members have strong tenure, with several having worked here for over 15 years. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, Massachusetts. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
