General Laborer

Laborer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Laborer who understands grades and is capable of performing various construction labor duties. Responsibilities include running string line, checking grades, shoveling, sweeping, site clean-up, and putting up silt fencing. Responsibilities Run string line to indicate direction and elevation in construction projects. Check grades to ensure level construction. Perform shoveling, sweeping, and general site clean-up duties. Erect silt fencing as needed for environmental protection. Engage in basic construction labor duties as required. Essential Skills Experience in general labor and construction. Understanding of grades and ability to work with string lines. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Experience in concrete, landscaping, utilities, or related fields. Additional Skills & Qualifications Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential. Trainability and a willingness to learn and grow. Ability to work in various outdoor conditions. Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 to 100 pounds. Why Work Here? Mandatory safety meetings every Monday morning at 6 AM in Calhan, CO. Projects span from Rocky Ford to Ridgegate (Lone Tree) with initial work on a truck stop project in Pueblo. Expect a standard 40-hour workweek with potential overtime. No drive-time reimbursement or per diem offered. Physical demands include frequent use of hands, occasional lifting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
