Industrial Electrician

Immediate opening for Industrial Electrician in the Vandalia, OH area! Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, controls, motors, and lighting systems in an industrial setting. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform corrective actions to restore equipment functionality. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and electrical systems. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations. Use a variety of tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and plant improvements. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Assist in training junior electricians or apprentices as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program. Valid electrician license or journeyman certification (as required by jurisdiction). 3+ years of experience as an industrial or commercial electrician. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high-voltage equipment, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems. Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces or at heights. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed. Experience in manufacturing, food processing, automotive, or heavy industry. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). OSHA 10/30 or other industrial safety certifications.
