Mechanical Engineer

Location: Boydton, VA (Onsite)

Salary Range: $80/hr to $90/hr on W2

The role of the Construction MEP Engineer requires strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, ability to self-direct, strong background in data center design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements and deep experience and expertise in electrical and mechanical systems. This role will provide leadership of all field related MEP mission critical activities and coordinate with PM and subcontractors for proper execution.

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required
• 10 years of relevant experience required
• Mechanical Engineering / MEP experience
• Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other MEP devices

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Nice-to-have skills but are not required

• Experience with data center development and construction management
• Familiarity with Bluebeam software
• Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Key tasks and expectations for the role

• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other MEP devices
• Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess project feasibility
• Investigate equipment failures and recommend solutions to maintenance teams
• Collaborate with drafters to develop structural designs using engineering tools and software
