Landscape Designer/Estimator
Relson Contracting is a locally owned and operated excavation and landscape construction company based out of Redmond, OR. We are looking to hire a landscape designer/estimator to assist in our every day operations.The ideal candidate will possess both creative design skills and the technical know-how to produce accurate estimates for residential and commercial landscape projects in Central Oregon. Past landscape/excavation installation experience is required. This position will be a fast paced position that will require great customer service and self motivation. This is a full time position based out of our office in Redmond, OR.
We believe teamwork is essential for our day to day success, so individual must be able to work well with others and follow direction. Pay rate will be determined upon past experience. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
-Create innovative and functional landscape designs based on client needs, budgets, and site conditions
-Conduct site visits and client consultations
-Prepare detailed cost estimates, material take-offs, and proposals
-Collaborate with sales, operations, and construction teams to ensure project feasibility and profitability
-Source materials and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors
-Use design and estimating software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, LMN, Aspire, or similar)
-Adjust designs and estimates based on client feedback and revisions
Job Requirements :
-Prior landscape design & installation experience
-Strong analytical and mathematical skills
-Knowledge of materials and construction methods
-Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans
-Familiarity with estimating software and tools
-Reliable transportation & clean driving record
-Strong organization skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Excellent at problem solving
-Very strong attention to detail
-Willing to learn and can take criticism
