Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing engineering documents, details, schedules, or reports as assigned by senior team members.
- Learn and apply drafting standards and become proficient in CADD software usage.
- Gain familiarity with filing and retrieving drawings and other project information; assist in the production of drawings, graphs, charts, exhibits, and other project documents.
- Develop knowledge and proficiency in utilizing various resources available (reference materials, government agencies, utility companies, in-house records, etc.).
- Coordinate with the design team and other disciplines on design and deliverables.
- Contribute to highway and bridge-related drawing development using Bentley and Autodesk software on large-scale transportation projects.
- Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs with occasional assistance.
- Develop an understanding of engineering and architectural documentation and construction, including infrastructure.
- Work in a group setting and monitor projects for standards compliance and general modeling errors.
- Review CAD and models for design coordination issues.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor to support project goals and team objectives.
- Currently pursuing an associate degree in drafting & design or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and terminology.
- Courses and/or experience in drafting or a related field.
- Previous internship or coursework in CAD drafting or related field.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit.
- Experience with blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and processes.
- Experience with marketing in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.
Compensation Range:
