Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator**

**Location:** Clark County, WA

**Job Type:** Full-Time

**Salary:** $25 to $40 based on experience

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a few skilled and experienced **Construction Equipment Operator** to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment used in construction projects. This role requires attention to safety, precision, and efficiency in completing tasks on job sites.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes in both on road and off-road settings.

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment.

- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grading specifications.

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.

- Work collaboratively with site supervisors and crew members.

- Report any equipment malfunctions or necessary repairs promptly.

- Help assist others with proper equipment techniques.

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience as a construction equipment operator.

- Valid certification or license to operate heavy machinery (if required by state or local regulations).

- Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment maintenance.

- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

- Basic math skills and understanding.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus.

- OSHA certification or other relevant safety training.

- Experience in roadwork, excavation, or utility installation.

- Topcon GPS experience.

**Working Environment:**

- Typical working environment is working mostly on 1 or 2 different project sites per week in all weather conditions.

- Typical working hours vary based on weather conditions and seasons, but summer months are typically 40+ hours a week, 5 days a week and winters tend to be right around 40 hours a week, weather permitting.

- We typically try to avoid working Saturdays or Sundays, however the occasional Saturday may be required during the busy summer season.
