Jacobs is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor, based in Vancouver, WA. The Maintenance Supervisor supervises and organizes with all those affected, the, repair, and maintenance of the water treatment facility facilities and pump stations. Performs and trains subordinates on the proper predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment associated with the wastewater treatment facilities and related equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnoses operating problems and directs effective correction procedures

Looks for innovative approaches to improve equipment reliability, system operations and how work is completed

Prepare required reports and maintain complete recordkeeping procedures

Inspects plant to determine efficiency of operations, cleanliness, and maintenance activities

Supervises and trains employees

Determines remedial action in emergencies

Assigns maintenance staff and contractors during emergency situations

Prepares work schedules

Manages CMMS program

Performs employee evaluations

Assists in conducting ongoing safety program

Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work

Schedules, and directs the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of specialized mechanical and electrical equipment, buildings, structures, and grounds

Assists in budgeting and estimating cost and time for all aspects of repairs or replacements

Reads, interprets, and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations

Reviews and provides feedback to client, engineering, contractors, and staff before, during, and upon completion of capital and non-capital improvement projects.

Ensures the proper performance of Performs skilled mechanical repair work on water/wastewater treatment plant equipment and related equipment

Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends modifications to prevent recurrences

Communicates effectively orally and in writing at all levels regarding recommended maintenance and repair procedures

Provides on-the-job training to less experienced employees

Ensures the proper Performs performance of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery or equipment

Ensures the proper lubricationof Lubricates equipment and checks for malfunctions are being performed

Ensures the proper replacement of Replaces bearings, packing, seals, shafts, sleeves, seats, or other components found in treatment plant equipment

Supervises the use of special tools, such as bearing pullers, torch, welding machine, hoist, or other equipment used in the repair of treatment plant equipment

Works closely with Project Manager and Operations Supervisor in planning workload and assignments

Reviews work projects from planning through to completion

Develops, implements, and enforces safety regulations and procedures

Keeps records of all maintenance work done on equipment, and prepares routine and special reports

Four years experience with maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment

Two years experience in a lead or supervisory role

Experience with the methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in the construction, repair, and operation of motors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment related to water/wastewater treatment facility operations, maintenance, and procedures

Some trade school education, or certifications, with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical equipment

Experience in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) systems

Experience with Planning, Scheduling, and Inventory Control

Knowledge of SCADA systems: process control software, capture, monitor, analyze data for history on runtime, data collection for equipment trends, predictive maintenance, troubleshooting using data historian

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

Knowledge of safe work practices, supervisory training, and federal and state laws as they pertain to the water/wastewater industry

Experience with implementing a Safety Program: Job Hazard Analysis, Safety Protocol, PPE, Standard Operating Procedures, Documentation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams

Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, and strong data analysis & technical problem-solving skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

High school diploma or GED

Possess a valid drivers license with a clean Driving Record with no major infractions
