Our Facilities team is currently seeking an Associate Project Manager Capital Projects in our Worcester location. This is a full time, exempt role. Position is eligible for Hybrid/Flex work arrangement.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and controlling various aspects of project lifecycle associated with the Capital Projects Program across Hanover's real estate portfolio.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Assist Project Manager and Teams: Support project planning and execution, including issue control, coordination among inter-project dependencies, and both internal and external communication.
  • Drive Projects Across Owned and Leased Properties: Serve as the primary day-to-day driver for capital projects up to $500K, ensuring timely completion, resolution of issues, and maintaining focus on project goals and deliverables.
  • Manage Processes: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Interface with Stakeholders: Act as the liaison between the Capital Projects Program, project collaborators, and stakeholders, facilitating clear and consistent communication.
  • Manage Project Based Financial and Asset Data: Enter, track, and manage Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Orders, final reconciliation, Accounts Payable items, and general asset data through associated platforms (e.g., Ariba, Asset Management Tool).
  • Develop and Maintain Project Schedules and Budgets: Create detailed project schedules and budgets, monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality: Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and quality requirements, conducting regular reviews and audits.
  • Support Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
  • Enhance Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment among team members, encouraging open communication and teamwork to achieve project objectives.
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in project management or equivalent in construction, engineering, architecture or other practical experience.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • 3-5 years' experience in managing projects.
  • Related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification or successful completion of recognized project management curriculum is desired.
  • Experience reviewing architectural design and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) drawings.
  • Customer service oriented, willingness to problem-solve, and comfortable speaking with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with computer-based tools including MS Office Suite and Adobe.
