Lead Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Engineer who will play a pivotal role in client interaction, designing concrete and steel structures, and collaborating with manufacturing teams. This role involves ensuring that all design requirements are met and coordinating project timelines effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients regarding building site soils and project requirements.
  • Design concrete structures and produce detailed concrete drawings.
  • Design steel structures ensuring they meet project specifications.
  • Create site layout and approval drawings for equipment orders.
  • Ensure all design requirements are correct and suitable for the site.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address questions and issues.
  • Set up schedules for engineering tasks and coordinate with manufacturing for project timelines.
Essential Skills
  • Experience managing a project from start to finish.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering design.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) certification or ability to obtain PE or SE License
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to represent the company well when speaking to vendors, customers, and clients.
  • Potential to become a licensed PE and/or SE.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $67.03/hr.
