Operator-Pumping Line-1st shift
SUMMARY:
GRR! Sumter has one open 1st shift hourly non-exempt, Operator-Pumping Line, role. This position reports to the 1st shift LDD Supervisor. The position is 100% onsite. This position uses the machinery and pumps necessary to remove waste from various container types. The tasks of this individual will include, but is not limited to:
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transfer drums to processing units
Use hand tools to remove material from drums
Operate pneumatic pumps
Paint drums
Perform general housekeeping
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read and write.
Must be able to push, pull, and lift, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Requires weekend and possible 10-hour shifts when production permits.
Must have high school diploma or GED.
Must be able to wear PPE as listed in pertinent SOP's, which includes being clean shaven to properly wear respirators.
Must be able to pass background check, pre-employment drug screening, and preemployment physical.
Must have prior machine operating experience.
Must comply with all DOT, OSHA, and RCRA requirements.
Additional Desired SKILLS AND Experience:
Good work ethic and perform as a Team Player.
DOT, RCRA, and HAZCOM training is a plus, but not required for employment. Training will be provided annually to all employees.
Forklift experience is a plus but will be trained onsite if needed.
Follow directions.
Follow all safety rules.
7:00 am- 4:00 pm with extended shifts and weekend work occasionally when production permits.
