Operator Job Description As an Operator, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing incoming truckloads of organic waste with our Screener Machine. You will operate, monitor, and maintain equipment to ensure efficient processing of materials while adhering to safety protocols. Your efforts contribute significantly to mitigating climate change by sequestering organic waste, thereby reducing Green House Gases (GHGs) that could otherwise harm the environment and local communities. Responsibilities Direct and assist truck drivers in positioning and unloading. Assist in directing and placing incoming materials such as manure, biosolids, paper sludge, and food & agricultural waste. Assist with truck washouts when removing materials from trucks onsite. Examine and determine the safety of incoming material to prevent harm to machinery. Assist with maintenance and quality control of equipment including front-end loaders, pumps, tanks, and processing equipment. Maintain facility grounds by cleaning loose trash and debris. Comply with safety, health, and environmental guidelines of the facility. Essential Skills Ability to perform manual labor and construction-related tasks. Experience in managing and processing organic waste. Ability to operate and maintain machinery. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort with physical exertion and handling objects up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work in environments with dirt, odors, and noise. Ability to accept occasional exposure to weather extremes and occupational risks. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hutchinson, Kansas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $47840.00/yr. This role also has other benefits: medical, dental, and life insurance, Paid Time Off, 401k with competitive employer match, disability and incentive pay.
