Welder and Fabricator $up to $26/hr Job Description The role involves following instructions to weld various parts onto trucks using MIG welding techniques on steel. You will be responsible for mounting different types of attachments such as plow hitches, back hinges, and beds onto trucks. Additionally, you will utilize cutting torches and plasma cutters, engage in fabrication when needed, and have the opportunity to cross-train into other departments. This position requires independent thinking and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Weld different parts onto trucks using MIG welding. Mount attachments such as plow hitches, back hinges, and beds onto trucks. Utilize cutting torches and plasma cutters for various tasks. Engage in fabrication tasks as needed. Cross-train into other departments to enhance skills. Think independently and solve problems on the job. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding. Experience with plasma cutters and cutting torches. Comfortable with out-of-position welding and working in tight spaces. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in fabrication. Work Environment This position may be a 6-month or 9-month contract-to-hire opportunity, as determined by the hiring manager. Located in Painesville, the work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime is rare but may be offered during busy periods.
