Pressing Machine Operator Job Description The pressing machine operator will be a key member of the Production/Pressing Department. In this role, you will oversee the operation of robots and press machines responsible for brick production. Your duties will involve loading and unloading molds, entering production data into computer systems, and following daily 'mix sheets' detailing the brick types to be produced during each shift. This fast-paced position requires teamwork, as you will collaborate with a team of 3-4 people to manage two press machines. Responsibilities Operate forklift to load and unload molds and perform changeovers. Enter production data into computer systems accurately. Troubleshoot basic machine issues before contacting maintenance. Participate in end-of-shift cleanup, ensuring station cleanliness. Essential Skills Experience in machine operation. Familiarity with production and manufacturing environments. Ability to operate a forklift. Proficiency with hand tools and inspection procedures. Basic math skills, including addition and multiplication. Competence in using computers for data entry and tolerance verification. Strong safety awareness. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous sit-down forklift experience is highly preferred. Ability to multitask and maintain precision. Hands-on training with an experienced operator for the first 90 days. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes various shift options: first shift (7AM-3PM M-F or 7AM-7PM weekends), second shift (3PM-11PM M-F or 7AM-7PM/7PM-7AM weekends), and third shift (11PM-7AM M-F or 7PM-7AM weekends). The schedule rotates on a 12-week cycle, ensuring consistency in hours. The facility can reach temperatures up to 110 degrees in summer, and some areas may be dirtier than others. Dress code is casual with long pants and a t-shirt, and uniforms are provided but not mandatory. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.56 - $24.56/hr.
