ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
JOB SUMMARY
Entry to intermediate level position responsible for designing elevator control systems to match customer driven and code required specifications. This position exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Design, develop, and test electrical equipment, software, and components for elevators.
- Organize and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs.
- Apply applicable elevator, building, and electrical code.
- Contribute to research efforts to develop a solution or a new product.
- Use AutoCAD to design and draft elevator applications.
- Provide support to field site installations.
- Create technical documents pertaining to new design, use of new device and work process changes.
- Provide support to factory during fabrication of elevator control systems.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: BSEE/BSEET or related
- Experience: Preferred 2-4 years' experience in design or manufacturing role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
Job duties are performed mainly within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
