HVAC Mechanic
- Location: Lakewood, Colorado
- Pay Rate: $46.75/hour
- Onboarding: Background check and drug screening required
- Schedule: On-call rotation may be required

Position Summary
The HVAC Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role includes troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring system functionality in a commercial/industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems
- Conduct operational checks on mechanical and electrical components
- Install both temporary and permanent HVAC units
- Utilize hand and power tools for installations and repairs
- Interact with customers to assess problems and repair needs
- Perform Preventive Maintenance Orders (PMOs) on HVAC equipment
- Respond to and complete Demand Maintenance Orders (DMOs)
- Coordinate shift coverage and work schedules
- Monitor team performance and communicate changes to management
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education : High School Diploma or GED required
- Licensing :
- CFC Universal Certification required
- Experience :
- Minimum 5 years of journey-level HVAC experience
- Minimum 3 years in commercial/industrial air conditioning and refrigeration
- Experience completing PMOs and DMOs
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Technical Knowledge :
- Understanding of refrigeration cycles and HVAC principles
- Familiarity with safety procedures and tools

- Excellent manual dexterity and motor coordination
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in reading technical documents, safety manuals, and interpreting instructions
- Competency in basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and speaking
- Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, or crouching
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds occasionally
- Visual requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment
Work Environment
- Exposure to noise, dirt, dust, grease, moving machinery, and chemicals
- Possible exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions
- Use of protective equipment such as gloves, masks, and goggles may be required
- Participation in on-call rotations for emergency support
