Job Description

Take the lead on mechanical engineering projects, offering hands-on technical guidance to ensure designs are solid and execution is top-notch. Spearhead the planning and development of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systemsespecially for healthcare and mission-critical spaces. Stay sharp on building codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability practices to bring fresh, forward-thinking ideas to the table. Keep an eye on quality throughout the project and pitch in on peer reviews to uphold high technical standards. Act as a go-to technical partner for clients, helping shape solutions that are tailored to their specific needs. Team up with business development to explore new opportunities, especially in the Atlanta and Carolina markets. Support proposal writing, client interviews, and presentations to highlight what the company brings to the table. Guide and support junior and mid-level engineers, encouraging a culture of learning and growth. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm to align on best practices and contribute to leadership.

• Collaborate with business development to explore new opportunities in Atlanta and Carolina markets.
• Support proposal writing, client interviews, and presentations.
• Guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align on best practices.

• Mechanical engineering expertise.
• Proficiency in mechanical design and Revit.
• Client communication and engagement skills.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Previous project experience in healthcare, life sciences, or data centers.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Design skills in HVAC, mechanical, data center, plumbing, and fire protection.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with healthcare facility systems.
• Experience leading complex mechanical projects from planning to construction.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis software.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and energy codes.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers.
• Organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.

The position is based in an office in Atlanta, GA with 10 employees. There is flexibility to work remotely, with occasional office visits on Mondays and Thursdays. The organization is employee-owned, promoting a strong team culture and professional development, with flexibility in scheduling, including remote work options.

The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
