Responsibilities

Production Schedule: 3:15pm - 1:45am

Essential Duties:

  • Advanced machine operation
  • Advanced Troubleshooting skills
  • Complete Day by Hour, first piece inspection, and scrap documentation
  • Advanced changeovers requiring multiple machine setups/tools
  • Read production orders to verify quality standards for quantities and labeling
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Perform First Piece Inspection and other quality duties as needed
  • Operate power industrial trucks as needed
  • Complete scrap paperwork

Responsibilities:

  • Alert Supervisor and maintenance personnel of any problems that may arise.
  • Make machine adjustments as necessary to produce products that meet company specifications.
  • Order raw materials to the line as needed.
  • Make sure all materials are loaded into the machine in a quick, efficient manner so that downtime is limited.
  • Count and record rejected products and scrap material.
  • Keep work area clean, free from debris and compliant with 5S markings.
  • Clean machine and work area at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure that all personnel are following plant safety guidelines.
  • Complete production reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • May be required to lift up to approximately 40 pounds
  • Must be able to stand at work station for a long period of time
  • Must be able to use both hands in a repetitive motion
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles
  • Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions

Education and Experience Requirements

  • HS Degree or GED
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience (at least 2 years machine operator experience)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Must be able to pass a tape measure test
  • Must be able to pass a machine aptitude test
