JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Assist in the design of electrical engineering projects for buildings and systems

Assist in the preparation of electrical specifications and technical drawings

Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, principles, concepts, established procedures, and be able to work closely and communicate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors

Assist in the preparation of construction cost estimates for material and labor

Inspect construction of electrical facilities

Electrical engineering (power, lighting, systems, and low voltage) for the commercial built environment

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

EIT license (or working towards the EIT)

Ability to write technical reports and documentation

Ability to perform all electrical engineering tasks associated with the projects as directed - providing: design and drafting, engineering calculations, cost estimates

Knowledge of electrical equipment standards is preferred

Knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting, and fire alarm systems is preferred

Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities

Ability to work independently on project design tasks with support

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point) is preferred
