JOB Duties
- Form to dimension, square and height simple molds including, one-piece mold blankets, Versa-M, single piece Duna Board or HDPE molds.
- Properly prepare and release casting bed prior to mold construction
- Perform simple mold change outs on Versa-M and simple molds while in production
- Read and understand simple drawings and job orders
- Keep necessary documentation organized for future reference
- Perform all work in a safe manner; use required safety equipment including, but not limited to, guards, shields, eye protection, steel toes, etc.
- Immediately advise the Lead Carpenter of damaged or defective tools or equipment
- Maintain all work areas in clean and safe condition, especially at end of shift
- Immediately advise Lead Carpenter or Production Supervisor of any hazardous condition
- Continuously strive to improve efficiency in the work area and the facility at large and be willing to participate in shop meetings (OSHA, safety, production and benefits) and training programs sponsored by the company
- Maintain a positive work attitude and cooperate with fellow employees
Physical Demands
- Heavy (exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects)
- **E**xcellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination
- The ability to safely use industrial machinery and power tools
Qualifications & Skills
- High school graduate preferred
- Ability to cut to length and width hardened materials to within 1/16"
- Strong desire to learn
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
Promotion Requirements
- Perform all work in a safe manner with 90% accuracy.
- Perform work in what Production Manager, Production Supervisor and Lead Carpenter feel is a realistic timeframe.
- Production Manager, Production Supervisor, Lead Carpenter and owner to make final decision if promotion is warranted.
- Minimum time of evaluation = 90 Days
