Where is the work:

This position has been designated as full-time, on-site at our La Crosse, WI facility and is considered safety-sensitive.

Job Summary:

Trane Technologies is hiring an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor in La Crosse, WI. This position will provide leadership to Trane employees, support EHS activities, programs and incident prevention activities at assigned location(s), and ensure compliance with Trane Technologies, local, state, and national requirements. The position will also be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, policies, training, and procedures. The position will promote a culture of safety and a healthy work environment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise hourly EHS team to ensure systems are in place to address, monitor and achieve compliance with all OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies

Evaluates the performance of associates and completes necessary reports. Recommends training/development needs.

Provide professional problem-solving input to both short term and long-term issues.

Interface with regulatory agencies, preparing required documentation, scheduling, and performing any required testing and providing additional follow-up documentation as required

Implement reduction of work site incidents/accidents in alignment with EH&S reduction goals process system requirement and including performance of root cause analysis on accidents/ injuries to determine specific actions needed to prevent reoccurrence

Conducts site assessments for adherence to company policies and programs and compliance with state local and federal regulations.

Provide support and leadership during audits of the site by state and federal regulatory agencies

Actively support plant programs and goals, including but not limited to: Employee engagement, cultural maturity, EHS team growth, Union Safety Committee maturity

Facilitate EHS training and orientation as needed. Identify EHS related training requirements for associates and support processes to ensure training effectiveness and compliance.

Coach/mentor all employees, including leadership, on safe work practices, hazard identification and risk management.

Provide for effective associate relations within manufacturing by ensuring that employment practices are fair and consistent. Ensure adherence to standard work, including plant work rules, collective bargaining agreement and payroll compliance (if applicable)

The employee will be required to stand and walk through manufacturing facilities throughout the day. The employee may also be required to climb to elevated positions, or stoop to low levels to make physical observations. The noise level in the facility is moderate

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental or Safety Sciences/Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 years experience within EHS. Manufacturing environment preferred.

Excellent computer skills in Excel, MS Office, Outlook, knowledge of Benchmark/Gensuite and Velocity EHS a plus.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $ 74,000-$115,000/annually.
