What You'll Do Capable of operating multiple pieces of material handling equipment used primarily in the scrap industryForklift, Crane, or experience operating heavy machinery preferredAssist maintenance personnel when requested/neededParticipate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety CultureEffectively communicate with others about possible production issues, concerns, and needsEnsure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shiftPerform minor/routine maintenance or repairs as needed without the assistance of maintenance personnelResponsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work areaTroubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with othersWhat You'll Need Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spacesBasic computer skillsDependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needsMust be able to learn quickly and multitaskMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsSome overtime will be requiredWork on a rotating shift which may include weekends and holidaysYour Education High School Diploma or GED preferredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
