FactoryTalk Assistant Project Manager Location: Reno, NV Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented FactoryTalk Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of industrial automation projects, with a focus on Rockwell Automation's FactoryTalk platform. Working alongside senior project managers, this role contributes to the planning, coordination, and execution of control system installations across commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automation technologies and a passion for delivering high-quality, efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing the full project lifecycle of FactoryTalk implementations, including planning, execution, system integration, testing, and commissioning. Support cross-functional collaboration with engineering, software, and field teams to ensure seamless FactoryTalk deployment and PLC/SCADA integration. Help coordinate resources, track project timelines, and ensure milestones are met within budget and scope. Serve as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, and clients, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues or changes. Assist in preparing and maintaining detailed project documentation including schedules, progress reports, RFIs, submittals, and technical specifications. Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and verification of hardware/software configurations to ensure quality control. Keep current with FactoryTalk software updates, Rockwell Automation technologies, and best practices in the industrial automation field. Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Industrial Automation, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience supporting industrial automation or control projects, preferably in a project coordination or assistant project management role. Basic working knowledge of FactoryTalk View SE/ME, FactoryTalk Historian, and Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, or OPC UA. Proficiency in project management and design tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work on-site as needed and manage responsibilities in dynamic, fast-paced project environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience working directly with Rockwell Automation solutions and commissioning activities involving FactoryTalk software. Certification in Rockwell Automation platforms (e.g., Rockwell Certified Automation Professional). Understanding of network architecture and cybersecurity considerations in industrial automation is a plus Familiarity with other automation platforms and experience with regulated industries such as water/wastewater, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, or manufacturing. OSHA 30 certification or other safety training relevant to industrial or construction environments. Working knowledge of Revit or Bluebeam for project coordination and documentation.
