Machine Operator If interested call: Madelyn at ...** Job Description We are seeking an EDM Operator to join our team, working in a dynamic production environment equipped with over 150 EDM machines. The role involves operating both conventional and 5-axis EDM machines, which are custom-built and significantly modified, to produce turbine engine aerospace parts. These parts are highly valuable, requiring a meticulous focus on quality to minimize any scrapping. Responsibilities Load and set up parts in the EDM machine. Inspect parts for quality throughout the production process. Set up and operate electro-discharge machines (EDM). Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Interpret blueprints and drawings accurately. Troubleshoot and fix defects with machinery. Prepare logs and records documenting machine operations and daily production. Set up and switch jobs as required, with training provided. Achieve more than 98% efficiency on a daily basis, maintaining high quality standards. Essential Skills Basic computer skills. Mechanical aptitude. Experience with CNC or other metal machine operations. Proficiency with measurement devices such as micrometers and calipers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus. Previous EDM experience is advantageous. High School Diploma or GED is required. Ability to read and write English. Work Environment Our production facility is temperature-controlled in most areas and operates over 150 EDM machines. You must be able to work in confined spaces and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level may be loud, and the use of personal protective equipment is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
