NES Project Manager

Job Summary : The Project Manager plays a critical leadership role within NEFCO Pipe Support Engineering, overseeing the execution of complex engineering and construction projects while directly managing cross-functional teams. This role is responsible not only for project deliveryon time, on budget, and within scopebut also for developing and managing the performance of the people behind each project. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, hands-on leader, and team coach who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to developing talent while driving operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Directly manage and mentor project team members across estimating, engineering, and operations
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance check-ins
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture aligned with NEFCO values
  • Coordinate staffing needs, onboard new team members, and ensure proper training and development
  • Manage timecards, PTO requests, and ensure timely and accurate submissions
  • Drive team adherence to NEFCO training initiatives, including safety protocols and professional development

Project Execution

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple simultaneous projects
  • Track project progress against key performance indicators, timelines, and budgets
  • Anticipate risks, identify issues early, and implement solutions to keep projects on track
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align project goals with strategic business objectives
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing, reporting, and documentation for all active jobs

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work closely with clients to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Represent NEFCO in a professional and responsive manner during site visits, calls, and meetings

Process Improvement

  • Continuously assess project processes, reporting, and communication to find efficiencies and reduce operational delays
  • Support innovation in project planning, team management, and execution to meet future growth goals

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce NEFCOs Leaders Safety Six protocols and create a culture of accountability around safety
  • Investigate incidents, communicate findings with HR, and take corrective action as needed
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 510 years of project management or operational leadership experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or manufacturing
  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage both up and down
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM software, Eclipse, or similar tools preferred
  • College degree or technical certification preferred
