Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Supply Chain Contract Specialist to join our Valued Clients team at a major mining project in Marathon, Ontario . This is a Contract position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. Previous experience in the mining industry is strongly preferred due to the nature of the work environment and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, negotiate, and administer contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, and project teams to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Manage contract lifecycle activities, including amendments, renewals, and close-outs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract obligations are met.
  • Analyze cost structures, pricing models, and vendor risk for procurement strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain or contract management experience.
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial terms and procurement principles.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in the mining industry.
  • SCMP, PMP, or equivalent industry certification.
  • Direct site-based procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous procurement policies and inclusive sourcing practices.
Work Environment:
  • Site-based role at a major mining operation in Northern Ontario.
  • Office setting within a dynamic and high-safety industrial environment.
  • May require occasional field visits and vendor site inspections.
