Position Opening - Electro-Mechanical Technician (EMT)
World-wide manufacturer of products that help to create many kinds of paper: from fine paper and brown paper bags to cardboard boxes and newsprint, in addition to being known as a leading global supplier of innovative products and technical solutions.
General Purpose of Position
Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and adjusting all manufacturing equipment in the plant consisting of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, servo, and PC systems.

Education/Experience/Certification
Preferred successful completion of Electro-Mechanical Technology program at an accredited school.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to lift 25 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift 50 lbs., sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee is working in an environment of fast moving equipment. Candidate must be able to wear all required safety equipment.
Hours & Pay
EMTs maintain a possible 3 shift rotation in their department and will start at $37.05 with $0.50 increases every 6 months up to 24 months.

Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Maintenance skills in electronics, mechanical or electromechanical device repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot AC & DC drives systems, PLC and electrical controls.
- Ability to follow specification, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings.
- Working knowledge of motor controls, programmable control logic & input and output.
- Understand loom control systems: HP200, BK600, BK800.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Ability to add, subtract, multiple, divide, and measure up to 1/16".
- Ability to use calculate and understand fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
- Welding/Brazing skillset: proper use of all weld shop equipment.
- Versed in TPM principals.
