Job Summary: The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance and care of various types of flooring surfaces. This role involves performing routine cleaning, maintenance, and restoration tasks to ensure floors are clean, safe, and presentable. Qualifications: No high school diploma, GED or college degree required Must be 18 years of age or older 3 years of floor technician and janitorial experience including but not limited to stripping floors, waxing floors, buffering floorings, and operating machinery

• Knowledge of different types of flooring and appropriate cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, and carpet extractors.
• Apply appropriate cleaning and finishing products to different types of flooring.
• Conduct routine inspections of flooring to identify and address any issues or damage.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Assist with other cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
