Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Survey Party Chief to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in conducting topographic and boundary surveys, as well as construction staking. This role requires proficiency with GPS and robotic surveying equipment. The Survey Party Chief will be responsible for leading two- and three-person survey crews in the field, ensuring accurate calculation and recording of field data. Responsibilities
- Conduct topographic and boundary surveys, and construction staking with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize GPS and robotic surveying equipment to gather accurate data.
- Lead and manage two- and three-person survey crews in the field.
- Calculate and record field data accurately and systematically.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant surveying standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain and troubleshoot surveying equipment as needed.
- Prepare detailed survey reports and documentation.
- Travel to various project sites within Kansas as required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in topographic and boundary surveys, and construction staking.
- Proficiency with GPS and robotic surveying equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate survey crews.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in the field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data collection and recording.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within Kansas.
- Experience with AutoCAD and total station equipment is advantageous.
