Furnace Operator- up to $28/hr**

**Job Description**

As a Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining high productivity melting furnaces. You will interpret and control furnace conditions to ensure the product is consistent with customer specifications and meets all quality standards. Additionally, you will operate equipment such as tow motors, overhead cranes, welders, and hoists, while conducting preventive and general maintenance on furnace hardware. Troubleshooting equipment and system abnormalities and performing required maintenance to fix issues will be part of your role. You will also operate hand tools like grinders, saws, and drill presses to condition and prepare ingots for the next process step, ensuring adherence to all standard operating procedures and compliance with safety and quality processes.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate and maintain high productivity melting furnaces.

+ Interpret and control furnace conditions to ensure consistency with customer specifications and quality standards.

+ Operate equipment such as tow motors, overhead cranes, welders, and hoists.

+ Conduct preventive and general maintenance on furnace hardware.

+ Troubleshoot equipment and system abnormalities and perform required maintenance.

+ Operate hand tools like grinders, saws, and drill presses to prepare ingots.

+ Adhere to all standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with safety and quality processes.

**Essential Skills**

+ Furnace operation experience of at least 1 year.

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ General maintenance experience with equipment or hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems.

+ Blueprint reading skills.

+ Ability to work in high, precarious places and small or confined spaces.

**Work Environment**

This position involves direct placement with a monthly swing shift between 1st and 3rd, consisting of 12-hour shifts. Initial training occurs on the 1st shift for the first 1-2 months (Monday to Friday, 7 am - 3 pm). Once part of a permanent crew, the schedule alternates monthly between 7 am-7 pm and 7 pm-7 am (2-2-3-3 schedule). The work environment supports advanced engineered solutions for aerospace and transportation industries, focusing on jet engine components and titanium structural parts.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Permanent position based out of NA, Ohio.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
